Peter Lindberg drew a picture to explain the question how the circular object is attached to its foundation.

During the last expedition it was confirmed that there is a wedge formed gap between the upper part (the circle) and the lower part (foundation/pillar). However, if the two parts are completely sepparated or if the upper part and the lower part are the same object has not been clarified“.

The Ocean X Team returned with Ancylus to shore this Saturday.

After the expedition there are still a lot of questions that needs answers.
So the crew are planning more trips with the Ancylus in the future to try and solve the mystery.

On the last trip they managed to acquire samples from the unexplainable object.
The samples has been sent to analysis and as soon as we get the results, we will provide more info here.

They leave to a UFO-hunt – again

The Baltic Sea circle mystery may soon be solved.
The plot thickens around the strange circle on the Baltic Sea bottom.
Dennis Åsberg and Peter Lindberg is now leaving on a new expedition.

Last summer Dennis Åsberg and Peter Lindberg did what maybe was the biggest discovery in their entire life. On 87 meters deep (285 feet) in the middle of the Baltic Sea, they discovered a circular object with a circumference of 180 meters (590 feet) and 60 meters (197 feet) in diameter.

They did two dives on the object together with their crew to try to figure out what is hidden beneath. A year later the mystery is still unsolved.

Around mid-summer this year they got to shore from their last expedition and today they leave again. –We dived to the object twice; we already know that the object we have found is unique. What we are going to do now is to take a sample of the object itself, says Dennis Åsberg.

“It is not a submarine”
Hopefully the analysis of the samples will bring clarity to what it is that´s hiding on the bottom. There has been different theories about what it might be, everything from a geological formation to a Russian submarine base.

Now the treasure hunters have found a hole on the object that leads right through it.
It´s not a missile silo and it´s not a submarine. Maybe it is a little town down there, says Dennis Åsberg.

Many think it is a UFO
-The circular shaped object mainly has caught the attention of the UFO enthusiasts. About 95% of everyone who is following the search, think that it is a UFO, Dennis Åsberg says

-A long time I thought that it might be a meteorite, but a meteorite would have created a much bigger mess on the surroundings and there is none. Off course you have to be realistic but this is strange, very strange.

NEWS RELEASE

15/6/2012, PRESS RELEASE

THE TREASURE HUNTERS, OCEAN X TEAM, DISCOVERED SOMETHING UNIQUE WHEN THEY DOVE DOWN TO THE MYSTERIOUS CIRCLE-SHAPED OBJECT IN THE BALTIC SEA

Treasure hunters confirm they have found something abnormal in the seabed

STOCKHOLM, Sweden, June 15, 2012

The Ocean X Team dove down to the circle-shaped object in the Baltic Sea and met something they never experienced before. First they thought it was just stone or a rock cliff, but after further observations the object appeared more as a huge mushroom, rising 3-4 meters/10-13 feet from the seabed, with rounded sides and rugged edges. The object had an egg shaped hole leading into it from the top, as an opening. On top of the object they also found strange stone circle formations, almost looking like small fireplaces. The stones were covered in something resembling soot.

“During my 20-year diving career, including 6000 dives, I have never seen anything like this. Normally stones don’t burn. I can’t explain what we saw, and I went down there to answer questions, but I came up with even more questions “, says Stefan Hogeborn, one of the divers at Ocean X Team.

The path to the object itself can be described as a runway or a downhill path that is flattened at the seabed with the object at the end of it.

“First we thought this was only stone, but this is something else. And since no volcanic activity has ever been reported in the Baltic Sea the find becomes even stranger. As laymen we can only speculate how this is made by nature, but this is the strangest thing I have ever experienced as a professional diver“, continues Peter Lindberg, one of the founder Ocean X Team.

Right now, scientists are examining samples from the circle-shaped object, and experts in sonar imaging are processing data from the ship to hopefully shed more light over the mysterious object.

incredible, we have measured the radiative value of the anchors we used. It’s quite intriguing, the normal level of radiation is 0,1 milli Sieverts and we get 0,63 when measuring on the anchors. It’s far from dangorus levels but still; it’s 6 times higher than a normal level of radiation. The anchors have been on the bottom like 2-3 kilometers from the circle, so one can wonder if we will get higher values of radiation the closer we get of the circle?

PRESS RELEASE
OCEAN EXPLORER, FINDER OF THE MYSTERIOUS 197 FEET OBJECT IN THE BALTIC SEA PREPARES FOR OPERATION BALTIC DISCOVERY

Treasure Hunters Plan to Confirm their Find with Scientific Answers

STOCKHOLM, Sweden – 8/9/2011- On June 19th the Swedish-based diving company Ocean Explorer discovered something they’ve never quite seen before. They were exploring in the Baltic Sea between Sweden and Finland looking for sunken treasures when a very unusual image suddenly appeared on the sonar. A 197 feet diameter cylinder shaped object was discovered at the depth of approximately 275 feet. Treasure hunters, Peter Lindberg, Dennis Aasberg are in the midst of planning for their next excursion; to find out what’s there, and how it ended up in the Baltic Sea. Ocean Explorer’s Operation Baltic Discovery will unveil what people around the world are waiting to find out- What’s really there?

“We need to know what we’ve found. Media has been speculating about everything from UFOs to Russian space ships. What we know at this point is its size and shape and we also know, based upon the sonar image, that there is a ridged tail going from or to the cylinder shaped anomaly of about 1 600 feet throughout the bottom of the sea,”said Peter Lindberg, one of the professionals at Ocean Explorer.

“We cannot tell when it was placed in the Baltic Sea, if the object was dumped into the sea or if it’s a natural phenomenon,” continues Mr.Lindberg.

Ocean Explorer is currently accepting in-kind donations and corporate sponsors to complete Operation Baltic Discovery. In addition, fans and supporters can purchase Ocean Explorer logotype T-shirts on the company’s website.

“We are determined to successfully complete our mission of finding out what’s at the bottom of the Baltic Sea. Because of the sea depth, it is a risky operation that requires a lot of planning, strategy and financial resources,” said Dennis Aasberg, one of the three professionals at Ocean Explorer in Stockholm, Sweden.

Videos from the excursion and the remarkable sonar image are available on www.oceanexplorer.se
